IKON for Immaginario Scientifico: an interactive application to take a “journey inside the cell”

It is an interactive journey inside the cell the one projected and realized by IKON for the Immaginario Scientifico of Trieste, the interactive and experimental museum dedicated to the scientific world. The objective of the application is to make visitors understand, through a three-dimensional representation, what a cell is, the base of animal and vegetal life. 

IKON software allows, through two large horizontal touchscreens, to take a trip inside the biological unit, to observe and discover in detail all its components, and to learn about all the different types of cells available in our organism.  
The interactive 3D model developed by IKON for this project makes the experience realistic and didactically efficient: the user can examine the cell at a microscopic level choosing the visual angle and the enlargement level, selecting each time which topic to examine in depth.  

The experience has been thought to young students attending Middle and High School but involves also adults.
